The plate comes from a set of tableware belonging to Stanisław August, which is indicated by the additional sign – the King’s monogram SR, accompanied by the letter K or C, which denotes the kitchen (Küchen) or confectioner’s (Conditorei). Little remains of the Stanisław August table service (not including archaeological remains – so-called potsherds): the Royal Castle in Warsaw still has three plates and a cup as well as a cup, which is on long term loan from a private owner. There are also three plates in the collections of the National Museum in Warsaw, two plates and a cup in the collections of the National Museum in Kraków and one plate in the collections of the National Museum in Gdańsk.
