The glassware was bequeathed to the Royal Castle by Tadeusz Wierzejski in 1974. The beaker was made for Marianna, daughter of Jan Kazimierz Lubomirski and Urszula Branicka of Ruszcza, who was married to Prince Karol Stanisław Radziwiłł. The heraldic decoration is an allusion to Marianna Lubomirska’s ancestors; the central coat of arms (Śreniawa and Gryf) belonged to her mother and father. It is surrounded by the coats of arms of Lubomirski’s mother, Konstancja née Bokun (Paprzyca); Lubomirski’s paternal grandmother Konstancja née Ligęza of Bobrek (Półkozic); Lubomirski’s maternal grandmother Konstancja Tekla Branicka (Gryf); the coat of arms of Branicka’s mother, Katarzyna Scholastyka née Sapieha (Lis); the coat of arms of Branicka’s maternal grandmother Krystyna Barbara née Montwid Chlebowicz (Leliwa) and finally the coat of arms of Branicka’s paternal grandmother Aleksandra Katarzyna Czarnecka (Łodzia).
