ZKW/4973
Cup (ZKW/4973) and four plates (ZKW/4970, ZKW/4971, ZKW/4972, ZKW/4974) from tableware belonging to Stanisław August purchased for the Royal Castle’s collections in 2011 from the Ireniusz Szarek collection. The plate comes from a set of tableware belonging to Stanisław August, as indicated by the additional sign – the King’s monogram SR, accompanied by the letter K or C, which denotes the kitchen (Küchen) or confectioner’s (Conditorei). Seven other pieces have survived from this set of tableware belonging to Stanisław August: three plates in the National Museum in Warsaw’s collections, two plates and a cup in the National Museum in Kraków’s collections and one plate in the National Museum in Gdańsk’s collections, as well as a cup, which is on long-term loan to the Royal Castle in Warsaw from a private owner.
