B. de Canaletto. Ao 1770 The painting is listed in the 1795 catalogue of the Stanisław August collection under no. 435: “Vue de Varsovie prise de Prague, le peintre s’y est peint avec son fils". Bellotto’s son, Lorenzo (d. 1770), is shown in the bottom left corner, while Bernardo Bellotto is seated to the right of the easel. Red number 4573 of Russian Imperial Collection (added in 1832, in St Petersburg, following the removal of the painting to Russia as part of the repressions following the November Uprising) bottom left.
